Nitmiluk National Park

48km - Kayaking and bushwalking in Nitmiluk (Katherine Gorge) National Park. Information, permits and maps may be obtained at the Nitmiluk Visitor Centre within the park.

Edith Falls (Leliyn)

The Edith Falls (Aboriginal Jawoyn language: Leliyn) is a series of cascading waterfalls and pools on the Edith River in the Nitmiluk National Park, located approximately 60 kilometres (37 mi) north of Katherine, in the Northern Territory of Australia.

Cutta Cutta Caves

24km - Cutta Cutta Caves Nature Park covers 1,499 hectares of limestone (Karst) landscape, which is limited to only a few locations in Northern Australia. Spectacular features such as Karst formations and complex cave networks are a feature of the Park.


100km south of Katherine. The replica of Elsey Homestead is located at the Mataranka Homestead Tourist Resort, which also features the Mataranka Thermal Pool, Mataranka Falls, Stevie’s Waterhole and the 4km botanic walk through the Elsey National Park.

Katherine Hot Springs

2.58km - Tucked away in the Katherine River bed (Off the Victoria Highway) the springs pump from deep within the earth at a mild temperature.
