Just 30km south of Katherine!
During your stay in Katherine NT, be sure to plan a visit to the Cutta Cutta Caves Nature Park. Located just 30km south of Katherine, the park covers almost 1500 hectares of karst limestone landscape, found only in a few northern Australia locations.
The caves are approximately 15 metres below the surface, and were formed millions of years ago and are still growing today. The formations of the cave are magnificent and are home to a variety of native wildlife including the rare orange horseshoe bat.
From the car park, there is a Tropical Woodland walk that takes approximately 10 to 20 minutes and gives visitors the chance to experience the open tropical woodland.
Visitors can generally access Cutta Cutta Caves Nature Park from May to November, however bear in mind that they do sometimes close due to seasonal conditions. Daily opening hours are 8:30am to 4:30pm May to October and for November access is between 8:30am to and 11:30am.
Access to the Cutta Cutta Nature Park is free. Cutta Cutta Cave tours cost $25.00 per adult, $15.00 per child. Family tickets are also available.
